Samba

Published: Sunday, 28 October 2007

Our primary use for Samba is to expose directories on a UNIX machine as a Windows share, so that Windows clients on the network can browse and mount the share. Shares can be setup to include the user’s home directory.

The default location of smb.conf is in /usr/local/samba/lib

Edit smb.conf so that shares are only available on the LAN interface.
